Potato and green peas cooked in a tomato based mildly spicy curry
Ingredients:
- Potatoes (Aloo) – 2 medium-sized, peeled and cubed (approximately 300 g)
- Green peas (Matar) – 1 cup (fresh or frozen)
- Onion – 1 large, finely chopped
- Tomato – 1 large, finely chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Green chili – 1, slit (optional, for heat)
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Red chili powder – ½ tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Cumin powder – ½ tsp
- Amchur (dry mango powder) – ½ tsp (optional, for tanginess)
- Salt – to taste
- Water – 1-1.5 cups (adjust based on desired consistency)
- Fresh coriander leaves – chopped, for garnish
- Oil – 2 tbsp
