1 ½ cups ripe bananas (mashed), ½ cup sugar, ¼ cup vinegar, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp garlic (minced), 1 tsp ginger (grated), 1 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening), 1 tbsp water, pinch of salt.
